I am a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario and a Registered Marriage and Family Therapist with the Canadian Registry of Marriage and Family Therapy.
My education background includes a Master of Science Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of Guelph and an undergraduate degree in Psychology. I have training and experience across a number of treatment approaches including EMDR, AEDP, narrative, cognitive behavioural, play therapy, attachment based theories, and systems approaches. This allow me to choose effective treatment models tailored to the needs of my clients. I have worked as a therapist in private practice and in various mental health agencies in the communities of Guelph, Halton Hills and Barrie since 1996. Prior to this I spent four years working as a researcher in the field of children’s mental health.
Finding a therapist that fits you and your family is important and I am pleased to answer any additional questions you may have regarding qualifications, training, liability insurance, fees, or what to expect from therapy.
